9. Repair History

NO SIGNIFICANT HISTORY. Aircraft was at an airport (Harvey, WA) that flooded 23 yrs ago. Aircraft was NOT submerged. Engine and prop were not affected. Water barely reached belly and wing root. However all proper, proactive maintenance precautions taken at the time-anyway.Wings and Fuselage washed with mild detergent then treated with ACF-50. All airframe tubes drilled, flushed and treated with ACF-50. All push/pull tubes and landing gear trusses removed, flushed and treated. All Circuit Breaker and rocker switches replaced. Avionics removed, disassembled cleaned and reinstalled. Landing gear servo, transmission and motor removed and treated. All gear bushings and bearings replaced. Control rod pivot bearings replaced. Same for cabin insulation. New Interior installed. Fuel system opened, flushed and cleaned. All gear and flap relays and switches replaced. There is no indication of any ongoing issue with this December 1990 event. Further, aircraft sustained minor hangar rash in 2012 resulting in replacement of two wing skins with new parts. Plane was flyable but owner made decision to replace rather than repair.

Interior:

Dark Blue Vinyl seats with light blue inserts. Dark Blue carpet and lower sidewalls. Interior is a strong '8'. Partially refurbished in 2007. Excellent glass. Windshield is recent.

Exterior:

New poly paint in 2007 by Hov-Aire. Overall White with Burgandy lower fuselage and Aqua ribbon. Paint condition 9.5/10. Stainless steel fasteners.

Summary:

This is an attractive, no major damage Mooney Missile 'hot rod'. The performance is spectacular! 185KTS TAS at 7,500'. With the GNS-430WAAS this airplane is ready for serious cross country. Extended range fuel option is available for $8,000 installed.
